New ReviewerI contracted salmonella poisoning on Monday, July 29, 2019 after purchasing and consuming a deli product at the Hannaford on Cony st in Augusta, Maine. I called and spoke with the deli manager.
She told me that she did t believe it was food poisoning because it was too soon to tell. I asked her if she was a medical professional and she said no. I asked to speak wit the store manager, Shannon. Shannon refunded money for $10!
I received a call from corporate office, etc Pellegrini, and she said sheโd send me a gift card for my troubles. That did t happen! Iโve been very sick for a week. Iโve been to my doctor, been to the emergency room where it was confirmed that I contracted salmonella poisoning!
Iโm back in the doctors office again as I still canโt eat anything except toast and bananas. I contacted Beth again today and her response essentially was , too bad, so sad!!! Iโve been a regular customer in this Hannaford for over 25 years, several times a week!! Iโve had to consult a local attorney and was told that I definitely have a case!!
I asked Beth to send me the necessary paperwork, and she hung up on me!! Iโm very disappointed in the companyโs lack of compassion and poor customer service. Theyโve failed to respond appropriately.
I will no longer shop Hannaford!! I highly recommend shopping at Shawโs!!
